First, listen and understand the customers' problems and opinions, learn about the customer's business through their website and related news, get to know their concerns in advance and provide solutions, show the professionalism of the sales and provide successful cases of PBM during the continuous conversation.
The following is the communication process of one of our orders.
On December 8th, we received an inquiry from a customer. The customer needed a UL certificated product. It happened that we had certified the product PB3N250B1E-TY0, so we provided the customer with the UL certificate and product specification.
After that, the customer asked for UL certificates of 280mm and 350mm, and explained that they needed a group of 5 of each for testing.
However, we were unable to provide UL certificates for the other two sizes and had to quote the customer the model with UL certificate.
The next day, the customer's technical staff began to communicate with us. The customer was looking for a more energy-efficient fan, so he asked if we had an AC fan as a replacement for the product he had previously inquired about.
However, according to our knowledge, EC fan should be more energy efficient than AC fan, and the conversion efficiency of AC fan is only 10-15%, while the efficiency of EC fan can reach more than 40%. We also gave the customer a list to compare the different power consumption of AC and EC fans under the same size and performance.
After receiving our reply, the customer plans to do several simulation tests to judge the power consumption comparison of the two fans.
After a few days, the customer finished the test. And after the power consumption problem was solved, the customer faced the size problem again. After browsing our products, the customer chose a fan from our company, PB3N250B2EM, but the customer still needed 110V and UL certificates.
After confirming with the customer, there is no problem in making a 110V fan, but our company has no UL for this model.
The customer couldn’t accept the product without UL, but mentioned that if the product passes the test and meets the requirements, they could pay for the cost of UL certification.
Based on the customer's needs, we recommended two models to the customer.
Finally, the customer made a decision and still chose the selected model that he browsed on our official website before. Afterwards, the customer suggested that the air guide ring should not be installed or whether a smaller height air guide ring can be used. However, our air guide rings are all standard products. Generally, fixed size air guide rings will be used. If other sizes are required, mold opening may be involved. We explain the situation to our customers truthfully.
At the same time, we also reconfirmed with the customer the maximum height that the fan can accept, so that in addition to modifying the size of the wind guide ring, we can also try to consider other optimization solutions.
We first discussed with the customer about their plan, the possibility of modifying the wind guide ring and the size that the customer hopes to achieve.
At the same time, after discussing with our engineers, two solutions were obtained:
Option 1, modify the size of the original fan and wind guide ring, but it will involve the cost of mold opening.
Option 2, Use of stand fans, which minimizes the height of the fan
The customer also made calculations by himself. If the conventional fan is used, it may still not be able to meet the customer's needs, so the customer is willing to try to use the bracket fan to achieve the requirement of reducing the height of the fan. At this time, the customer requests to order 3 bracket fan samples.
Then the customer increased the quantity and ordered 6 bracket fans as samples.
Afterwards, we communicated with the customer again about product issues. Because the drawings attached to the specifications were of conventional size, the customer had doubts. According to our conventional drawings, the height difference between the actual bracket fan and the rear-facing fan is not that big.
We explained to the customer that in actual production, the height of the bracket fan can be further compressed to 120mm so that it can meet the customer's needs.
The customer confirms that there is no problem with 120mm, and we prepare 3D drawings for the customer to confirm the installation.
