Axial Fans, Technical Features Overview

Quieter, More Powerful and Longer Lifespan

PBM Axial fans adopt both metal welding and single-piece plastic with glass fiber reinforcement aerodynamic impeller, compact energy-saving smart EC motor drives it with maintenance free ball bearing to guarantee longer lifespan.

The fans could be installed at all directions with variety of fan safety guard grill, wall ring and air-guiding wind deflector dome where the patten and causation of flow loss caused by the pressure distortion in rotor and stator were analyzed.

Quieter sound level contributes at customer requested fan performance working point compare with competitors in their ventilation, heating, refrigeration product or system.

AC and DC power supply are available for entire range of fans with integrated and intelligence EC technology motor with inside or outside mounted international standard remote control RS485 communication protocol that’s suitable to be adopted in IoE(Internet of Everything), IoT(Internet of Things), smart home system, Industry 4.0 and committed to Carbon Neutrality climate change by reducing customers carbon footprints.

PFC(Power Factor Correction), up to λ>96%, is optional for electricity grad stabilization compliance in certain circumstances of applications. ErP2015 (Energy-related Products) conformity, COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) No 327/2011 of 30 March 2011 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to eco-design requirements for fans driven by motors with an electric input power between 125W and 500kW.

FAQ

  • How do I choose the right axial fan?

    +
When selecting an axial fan, buyers should evaluate:
    • Required airflow (CFM or m³/h)
    • Static pressure requirements
    • Fan diameter
    • Motor type (AC or EC)
    • Installation environment
    • Noise requirements
    • Voltage and frequency
    • Energy efficiency goals
Reviewing the fan performance curve is essential for proper system matching.
  • Can axial fans be customized?

    +
Yes. Many manufacturers provide customized axial fan solutions for OEM and industrial applications. Customization options may include:
    • Fan size and airflow performance
    • AC or EC motor configuration
    • Voltage and frequency
    • Blade material and design
    • Speed control systems
    • Mounting structure
    • Corrosion-resistant coatings
    • Noise reduction optimization
Customized axial fans are widely used in industrial equipment and ventilation systems.
  • What is the difference between an axial and centrifugal fan?

    +
The main difference is airflow direction and pressure capability. An axial fan moves air parallel to the shaft and is best suited for:
    • High airflow volume
    • Low-to-medium static pressure
    • Open ventilation systems
    • A centrifugal fan moves air at a 90-degree angle and is typically used for:
    • Higher static pressure
    • Ducted systems
    • Industrial exhaust applications
    • Axial fans are generally more compact and energy efficient for large-volume airflow applications.
  • Where are axial fans commonly used?

    +
Axial fans are widely used in:
    • HVAC systems
    • Industrial ventilation
    • Condenser cooling
    • Data centers
    • Agricultural ventilation
    • Refrigeration systems
    • Electrical cabinet cooling
    • Tunnel ventilation
    • Warehouse air circulation
Their high airflow capability makes them suitable for both industrial and commercial applications.
  • Which is better: AC axial fan or EC axial fan?

    +
EC axial fans are generally more energy efficient than traditional AC axial fans because they use electronically commutated motors with intelligent speed control. EC axial fans offer:
    • Lower energy consumption
    • Variable speed control
    • Lower operating noise
    • Longer lifespan
    • Better efficiency at partial loads
    • AC axial fans are still widely used because of their lower initial cost and simple control structure.
