220mm IP55 EC backward centrifugal fan made especially for Inlet Air Filter Units is the PB3N220B2E-TZ0. Kinetic energy is gathered and dispersed via the volute casing, transforming it into static pressure energy, thanks to a high-efficiency EC motor and a backward centrifugal blade design. Pressure buildup mostly takes place inside the impeller, which lowers energy loss to later structures and produces aerodynamic efficiency that is significantly higher than that of forward fans. It achieves 30%–50% energy savings under all operating situations as compared to conventional AC asynchronous motors. The cooling system load on the input filter unit is reduced when there is less waste heat released from the motor into the circulating air.
